50 percent of all babies born last few years were born on Medicaid. The delivery itself is $10,000. Then there is the hospital stay and room fees.

2,245,347 were born in 2016, so half of that were born on Medicaid. Times $10,000 per birth, the cost without post-birth care is $112,267,360,000, or $112 Billion dollars just to birth those babies!

Then, chances are since they were born on Medicaid, the mother and child are receiving some form of government assistance. Add another minimum of $40,000 per mother and child annually.

Tell me the country isn’t socialist.

I support Trump in his efforts to impose trade tariffs on China.

The media has been constantly screaming “trade war” since Trump decided to impose tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum.

Were there a more proportionate trade deficit on those and most other items with our major trading partners. you could truthfully classify what Trump is doing as a “trade war.”

Instead, what we are seeing is a President who is finally attempting to rebuild the bombed out landscape of American industry. The “trade war,” so to speak, was over long ago.

The trade deficit of industrial production has long been in favor of our trading partners who have unfairly and strategically manipulated their currencies to undercut our American producer prices and infiltrate US markets.

Trading partners have focused their production on single industries to strategically undermine our own producers while forming alliances with other countries that have selected other single industries and one by one our own production has been significantly hindered, deconstructed, or eliminated in any number of viable, job creating manufacturing sectors, textiles (clothing), electronics, toys, you name it.

To top it all off our own Congress and Senate has provided massive tax cuts to move production overseas. What that means is not that our own producers build factories in foreign countries to find cheap labor, often they simply farm production out to foreign industries and brand the finished product as their own. Our own Congress has been significantly complicit in the deconstruction of American industry by providing such tax breaks that enable that industrial behavior.

American Corporations have also been just as complicit in the demise of the American industrial complex, often manufacturing substandard products to reap higher profits for short-term gains and forcing the American consumer to look elsewhere.

You could say American industry has not just been affected by foreign competition, our own elected and numerous, untold American corporations have acted like enemies within.

So I support Trump in his efforts to provide tariffs and import restrictions in certain circumstances. I think his choice of steel and aluminum tariffs is an excellent start.

It is not a trade war. It is reconstruction and the world knows it.

It would just be nice if our own media and our own elected officials would see it for what it is so we can all get on with it.

One of the pillars of gun control is the attempt to require universal background checks (UBC’s) on all firearms transactions. In other words, if you want to purchase a used shotgun from your neighbor who needs the money to make the house payment, you would have to comply with some form of registered transaction, presumably with a Federal Firearms Licensee. There would no doubt be a fee and perhaps a tax would be assessed for the transaction as well.

If you wanted to give your son or daughter a shotgun as a gift, same thing.

Familial exchanges of firearms from generation to generation, long a tradition in American, same thing.

Gun control advocates say they are trying to put an end to straw purchases and purchases made by those not allowed to own firearms, but the law will be a blanket one covering all transactions, even legal transactions, you can be sure, and there will likely be a tax involved in addition to the transfer fee imposed by the transfer agent.

In order to make that happen gun control advocates with the aid of the mass media need to demonize all gun owners. They need to demonize all gun owners to limit resistance to any legislation that enacts universal background checks. They need to make you afraid to stand up for your 2nd Amendment rights for fear of p

So, when you can take their words and translate them to, “You are evil for owning a firearm,” then you know what they are up to. It’s that simple.

For years I’ve been saying that Democrats and some others are really socialists hiding behind the Democratic Party brand.

Finally, finally The NRA is beginning to figure that out. In the April 2018 issue of American Hunter, The NRA’s monthly magazine for members of The NRA who like to hunt, Executive Vice President Wayne La Pierra makes the argument that American colleges are breeding grounds for socialists and in particular socialists that want to take away your gun rights.

History is full of socialists movements that ended badly for society. One of the first things the socialists/communist leaders do is confiscate firearms. You can name any one socialist/communist leader (Stalin, Hitler (yes the Nazis were socialists), Mao) who lived during the last 100 years and see a direct relation between their rise to power and the slaughter of their populations who without variation were disarmed at some point during the history of their leadership.

So, to me it is a good sign that The NRA, socially charged with seeing to your gun rights, has begun to recognize that there is a direct correlation between socialism and gun confiscation. Though, it is not just on college campuses, such confiscatory gun talk is taking place at all levels of American society. There is a particular anti-gun hysteria occurring now in a number of population subsets and the drive to confiscate firearms is more extensive now than I can recall dating back to the Clinton administration.

What is more striking to me is that the drive to confiscate firearms seems to have an almost direct correlation with a drive to socialize the entire workings of the country. The two go hand in hand, one is the harbinger of the other, and that’s the most dangerous thing, begging the question, “how ready do you want to be when they come calling?”

It is good to see The NRA is finally figuring out that there is a correlation between socialism and gun confiscation. It helps to be able to call it for it for what it is. Because ladies and gentlemen, what it is is what it is.

An observation based on experience:

One of the major differences between Republicans and Democrats is that both parties will pontificate about your behavior and attempt to regulate your personal and consensual activities but the Democrats are more likely to tell you there is something wrong with the way your living your life while sanctimoniously taking your hard-earned dollars in the form of taxes.

That is the case for the most part on almost all issues except the methods for addressing consensual behaviors that involve drug or alcohol usage. Republicans are more likely to adopt a prohibitive position on such activities as drug usage, for example, and instead of offering treatment for what is essentially a sickness, instead seeking to incarcerate drug users instead. That is the wrong approach. We have seen that time and time again.

But for the most part, Democrats are the party that assume the most righteous posture on social issues and then turn around and tax you till you have nothing left, which in my opinion negates all the so-called good they are trying to accomplish in the first place.

Do you like the wool?

Dear Socialist Politicians,

Please, no more free stuff to get yourselves elected.

As a single person with no dependents or mortgage to write off on my taxes, your feeble attempts to address the problems with the social welfare state by providing more welfare, particularly to single women having children out-of-wedlock, is killing me and others like me.

Simply because you want to get re-elected doesn’t mean you can give my wages to someone having sex out-of-wedlock, a pleasurable experience, and having babies as a result. Have you lost your minds? You’ve definitely lost your values. You are rewarding that behavior with my earnings you scoundrels.

Over the last decade the number of babies born on Medicaid has approached fifty percent. Half! Do you know how much that must cost? It’s a government sponsored sex–for-money scandal is what it is.

Please, no more free stuff to get yourselves elected.
