About WILLIAM THIEN

My name is William Thien. I am a published novelist and a poet. I also write essays and political discourse.

In case you are wondering why I am qualified to discuss what is published here, let me add that I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from The University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and an Executive MBA from one of the most prestigious business schools in the country, The Lubar School of Business at The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (2016).

I have served in three different US military organizations, having at one time been on assignment from US Army Intelligence to The National Security Agency (NSA), working with some of the finest men and women I have ever met.

I have driven a bulldozer and worked as a public school teacher. So, you could say I have been both in the trenches and in the streets. I’ve traveled to twenty countries. I feel this personal history is in itself sufficient qualification to discuss the material you will find here. But there is more!

I have no advertisers to make happy, no editor bent on running the world. What you see here is ‘mine own’ opinion, nobody else’s. You may agree with me. You may not. Feel free to post your comments.
